More Yeezy for fans and collectors

Text: Espen Hågensen Rusdal

Rumours have been swirling for a long time, but in January it was confirmed: Kanye West (above) and his Yeezy-brand is going to drop an entire collection with Gap and – hold on – a Balenciaga-collab! Kanye West, or Ye as he’s called now, has been collaborating with both Gap and Balenciaga for a while already – hence he’s been seen draped in Balenciaga literally from head to toe, for months already.

Balenciaga’s creative director, Demna Gvasalia stated that he is aware of the huge price gap between Balenciaga and the high street brand Gap and claims that it appeals to him. The collection will be in stores this summer.

As if that’s not enough, Yeezy will drop merch on Monday, January 31st for his Donda Academy (West’s own school that he opened in Simi Valley, Californa – it is named after the rapper’s own mother). There will be a hoodie, a sweater and a T-shirt designed in Yeezy’s familiar palette. This is also a collaboration with Slam magazine and the prices will range from $50 to $200. The countdown is underway at YeezySupply.com.
