Book tip of the month

Who hasn’t wondered what’s going on behind the scenes at Vogue? When you think of fashion magazine, it’s often Vogue you think of first. But how is an issue made?

In May 2016, the 100th issue of British Vogue came out. To mark the occasion, the BBC made a documentary following the planning of both the magazine and a star-studded gala. During this time, editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman wrote a diary that she shares in “Inside Vogue: My Diary of Vogue’s 100th Year“. Here you an exclusive glimpse into the everyday life of one of the most powerful women in the fashion world. She shares both professional challenges, but also private ones.  Even though she’s in Milan during Fashion Week, she has to send a reminder home for bin day.

This is a book for those are curious how the magazine industry works, for fans of Vogue and for those wondering how glamorous the life of a editor-in-chief really is.
