Tired of lockdown yet? You didn’t get to go see any runway shows this season? Then we suggest you take a break and indulge in some gorgeous fashion – like the new haute couture collection from french-italian Farhad Re. The collection is named «Galatea» and was launched recently during Paris Haute Couture Week.
Farhad Re specialize in haute couture and red carpet gowns, and his client list bursts with celebrity names. He started out studying architecture in Rome, and the inter-relationship between fashion and architeture is cleary visible in his carefully designed couture pieces. With this collection Farhad Re tells us a story about an artist who falls in love with his own creation. For days and nights in full lockdown he’s worked on these pieces, carefully cut triple organza of silk in a virginal whiteness…500 meters of organza were needed to create the 15 dresses of the collection. The result is stunning, don’t you think? The news is full of the latest updates of Covid-19 – and that is important – but in order not to get completely overwhelmed, give yourself occational breaks and indulge in some dreamy photos of beauty and grace from the parisian runways. You know you deserve a break.
Call to action: Recently VOGUE called out to all couture fans who cannot go see any shows this season to recreate their own haute couture at home and post pics to a challenge. Styletalk would like to do the same – why not send us your fave crazy wild couture look and get featured on our pages? Mark the photos #styletalkstaysafe and send to: email@example.com for a chance to show off your fave outfit or makeup – and don’t be shy – go wild!
