Styletalks skarpe blikk zoomet det inn alt under Chanels Métiers d’art visning i Paris like før jul: de sorbetfargede, florlette kjolene i klassisk A-fasong med fjærpynt skilte seg helt monumentalt ut fra resten av kolleksjonen. Og ingen kunne vært lykkeligere enn Styletalk! Sekstitallsmoten blir vi aldri ferdige med, og med rette. Kanskje var denne perioden spesielt glam? Sjekk bare ut gamle filmer fra dette tiåret. Uten å vite sikkert vil vi tro at Chanels Virgine Viard kan ha latt seg inspirere en smule av “Valley Of The Dolls” og “What A Way To Go” da hun designet disse ekstravagante kjolene.

Boho contessa er navnet på stilen – som er bohemsk, men på en kostbar og eksklusiv måte, og de fremste designerne innen sjangeren på sekstitallet var Pucci, Yves Saint Laurent og Ossie Clark.  Litt hippieaktig, men vi snakker Marrakesh, Talitha Getty, champagne og pool parties, ikke Woodstock, markblomster, hamp og jesussandaler. Moderne stilikoner som er kjent for å rocke boho contessa-looken Nicole Richie, Kate Moss, Mary-Kate og Ashley Olsen og den antiminimalistiske klesdesignern Malin Molden.

Chanelkjolene i delikat rosa- og fersken-farget organza, noen plisserte – andre med fjærpynt – var stylet med høye hæler, glitrende smykker og minimale håndvesker.

Det er sjelden eleganse og komfort går så godt overens som her. Chiffong og organza i utskrådd A-fasong flyter rundt kroppen og gir gudinne-vibber uansett figur og intensjoner.

På Chanels visning hadde de valgt naturlig, glossy hår og minimal makeup. Det er vanlig catwalkstyling for å gjøre looken kontemporær. Alle er tross alt ikke vintage babes. Men for deg som er svak for det autentiske har vi laget et lite mood-board under, med inspo fra Pinterest, og ikoniske kvinner som Mia Farrow og Raquel Welch. Stikkord er høyt hår eller kort-kort pixie cut, eyeliner a la katt, løse øyevipper, solbrun hud og bleke lepper.

Sixties A-line dresses makes a comeback

We spotted them right away on the Parisian catwalk when Chanel did their Métiers d’art show at the Grand Palais before Christmas: A-line dresses in organza and chiffon dip-dyed in the most delicate shades of apricot, peach and pink floated down the runway as a stark contrast to the rest of the more tailored line. It seems we never tire of the sixties, and no wonder. Shameless glamour combined with good economy and a general optimism about the future – it’s hard to beat. And the fashion reflected it, even if the enthusiasm about anything “exotic” seems childlike and naive today. But, wasn’t people’s style just a tad more glam back then? Just check some of the old movies from that era that have been a source of inspiration for numerous fashion designers, just flicks like “Valley of The Dolls” and the campy “What A Way to Go”. Pure eye candy and we wouldn’t be surprised if Virginie Viard have been watching.

Modern boho-contessa icons are Kate Moss, Nichole Richie, the Olsen twins and maximalist designers like Norwegian Malin Molden.

On the Parisian runway the dresses were styled with killer heels, exclusive jewelry and miniature handbags.

The trapeze type cut of the dresses emulate elegance and comfort combined – a rare bird in couture. But we salute it, it makes you feel and look like a goddess no matter what you desire.

Models sported the staple glossy hair au naturel and simple makeup for a contemporary vibe. Not everyone are vintage aficionados after all.

But for those who prefer a more authentic style we’ve put together a mood board using pictures from Pinterest and iconic women like Mia Farrow and Raquel Welch for inspo. Thing big hair or pixie cuts, big lashes, big pale pouts and a healthy glow.
