It’s autumn and the couch and a good movie are more tempting than going out in the cool air and in the rain.
We have looked a bit back in time, and picked out these three movie suggestions. They are all feelgood movies with women in the lead role.
First out is “Julie & Julia” from 2009 starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams in the lead roles. A sweet film that weaves two women’s lives from two different eras. There is a lot of cooking, tears, laughter and a large portion of girl power.
Next on the list is “Erin Brockovich” from 2000 with Julia Roberts as Erin Brockovich. A feisty young mother who fought for justice any way she knew how. A real woman. A real story. A real triumph.
And finally the romantic comedy “The Holiday” from 2006, with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz in the lead role. Amanda Woods (Cameron Diaz) lives in a beautiful villa in Hollywood, and Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet) in a cozy house in England. Both women are troubled with guy-problems in their respective home countries. But after becoming known online, they decide to swap homes during the holidays where they each meet a local guy and fall in love. This is a typical American movie, with broken hearts at the beginning and a happy ending for everyone at the end.
