Every month we will share a stylish book tip. This will be anything from biographies and photo books to novels, and both new and old publications.

First out is «Christian Dior» with text by Oriole Cullen and photos by Laziz Hamani. This is a book of highlight from the exhibition «Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams» at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and follows Dior’s development from its inception in 1947 to the present day.

In the opening chapter, Cullen looks at some of Dior’s most prominent clients, from Princess Margaret, Dior made the dress for her 21st birthday, to the ballerina Margot Fonteyn.
The book looks back at all Dior’s designers, from Christian Dior himself to Maria Grazia Chiuri, with a selection of the most important and memorable dresses and outfits. In addition to atmospheric images, the reader gets a look behind the scenes with sketches and letters written by Christian Dior himself.
This is a beautiful book that satisfies both the intellect and the aesthetic sense. Although the pictures are what you notice first, the book is full of history, facts and information that is guaranteed to teach the reader something new.
This book has everything a Dior fan can wish for, and more, and looks good on any fashionista’s coffee table.
