Artist, presenter, and now beauty entrepreneur Alexandra Joner (34) is super busy this season. In addition to hosting the popular Frokostshowet podcast on P5 and appearing in several TV2 programs, the multi-talented star is launching her own skincare brand, PREPPd.

“Skincare has always been important to me, and it naturally goes hand in hand with makeup,” Alexandra Joner tells Styletalk.
“With PREPPd, I wanted to create products that both prep and care for your skin, formulas that give it the love it needs, whether that’s glow, hydration, or a more even texture.”
She explains that the brand was born from her desire for skincare that’s fun, effective, and uncomplicated.
“I’ve been missing something more playful and straightforward in skincare. With PREPPd, we’ve put together four products that truly cover everything I need in my routine, and built a lighthearted, creative universe around the brand.”
For Joner — a busy artist and influencer — simplicity is key. She swears by what she calls “the double clean routine.”
“I’ve learned that the best thing for me is to keep my skincare simple — just the essentials. For PREPPd, we created the double clean routine and the day prep routine. I always start with a double cleanse, which I’ve done since I was 16: first an oil cleanser, then a gentle exfoliating cleanser. It gives me deeply clean, smooth skin. After that, I use the hydrating serum and day cream, which together give me so much moisture and an amazing glow. That’s honestly all I need,” she says.

Like many, Alexandra Joner has had her ups and downs when it comes to skincare.
“I’ve always cared about my skin and tried everything — from budget-friendly to high-end brands. I even went through a ten-step routine phase, but I never got the results I wanted. It wasn’t until I went back to basics and focused on what my skin truly needs that I started seeing a real difference,” she explains.
“But the one thing I’ve always been religious about is double cleansing before bed — no matter how tired I am!”
After spending two years developing PREPPd’s products, Joner finds it almost impossible to pick a favorite.
“But since I start work at 5 a.m. for Frokostshowet, I’d have to say PREPPd’s Instant Glow Day Cream is my go-to. I always put it on before running out the door, it’s amazing, and it gives me such a beautiful glow. I’ve had so many people at work ask what I’m using, and now I can finally tell them!” she laughs.
When it comes to fashion and beauty, Joner embraces color, humor, and individuality.
“My style is fun and colorful, I’m very focused on not being a ‘basic bitch,’” she laughs. “There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s just not me. I love standing out and finding pieces that make me happy — something funny, bold, or a little weird.
In makeup, I’ve leaned more toward trends in recent years, that clean-girl, Scandinavian-inspired minimalist look. But when it comes to clothes, I’m impulsive and free. If I see a ridiculous pair of shorts, I’ll buy them, even if I have no idea when I’ll wear them. I just know one day I’ll put them on and laugh. Whether it’s makeup or clothes, what matters most is that it looks intentional.”
Alongside her beauty venture, Joner is also a familiar face on TV this season. She joins the panel of “The Game“, adapted from the South Korean show “Bloody Game”, and she appears a brand-new TV2-show called “The Hotel”.
“The Game” was so much fun! Because this time it’s with completely unknown contestants instead of celebrities, everyone goes all in from the very first second. It’s truly wow TV. I watched the first episode with my boyfriend and asked, ‘Was that as fun as I thought it was?’ and he said, ‘Yes, that’s genuinely great entertainment,’” Alexandra Joner laughs.
In TV2’s new flagship series “The Hotel”, eleven celebrity duos compete in a high-stakes game of strategy, luxury, and drama. Based on the British format The Fortune Hotel, the show was filmed at a luxury resort in Italy this summer. At TV2’s autumn launch in Bergen, Joner described it as “The Game meets The Traitors meets The White Lotus”, a stylish but unexpectedly tough competition.
When the show premieres on October 17th, viewers will see Alexandra team up with her mother, Barbara Joner, as the two put their mother-daughter bond to the ultimate test in the race for a major cash prize.
“It was both incredibly educational and, let’s say, intense,” she admits. “My mom is a lot, and I’m a lot, but we’re very different. She’s more emotional, while I’m more strategic and used to the reality format. She was often a bit confused about what the game was actually about even though I tried explaining it to her every day! So yes, viewers will definitely see a very frustrated Alexandra. Very frustrated,” she laughs.
Winning in reality TV often requires a sly and cunning strategy, something Joner claims isn’t exactly her strongest suit.
“I want to say I’m super ambitious and sly when it comes to competition,” she jokes. “But honestly, I’m ridiculously scatterbrained. I never catch on to anything! I always think I understand what’s going on — but really, I have no clue.”
