Collabs is the big thing in fashion and only more so after the corona virus lockdown have made so many companies re-think their business model. In the competitive world of international fashion we now see new, fun and unusual collabs sprout up and we, the consumers are the ones who benefits – just as much as the designers. So win-win, right?
When Ellos asked Selam Fessahaye to collab on a party collection for spring and summer the Swedish-Eritrean stylist, costume designer, and fashion designer took on the challenge, saying:
“As a designer I create showpieces for exclusive events. So for me this collaboration is an amazing opportunity to reach a larger audience.”
Selam’s been making a huge impact on the international fashion scene, doing collaborative work as well as her own label. Her first ready-to-wear collection was debuted in August 2018. According to the international press she represents a couture type of aesthetics that we normally see in brands like Moschino and Versace. S
The collection she has designed for Ellos is modelled by the artist Sabina Ddumba.
