Hva: Swatch X BAPE global edition.

Hva: Swatch X BAPE London edition.

What: Swatch X BAPE global edition.
Why: I can still remember my first ever trip to a shopping mall in Oslo named Galleri Oslo, supposedly the longest mall in north of Europe back in the day. This was the eighties and if I’m not mistaken it could have been I was there on opening day. In the mall there was a Swatch shop. The watches were über cool and very ornate, even the boxes they came in kicked ass – and best of all – the watches were not expensive. These days there’s not much left of that mall, but Swatch is greater than ever. BAPE is among my absolute favorite even if Nigo is no longer related to the brand. But one of the 6 new watches Swatch released in June is decorated with his iconic camo pattern, it is by far the most popular.
Where: My personal shopper in Tokyo managed to find me this global edition. It was released in Europe a few weeks later. I paid 1300 Norwegian kroner (approx. 142 US dollar) but I see several at eBay priced around double.

What: Swatch X BAPE London edition.
Why: Of course, England have their own London-edition. Of course, I had to have it –  and I got mine this summer. Mine is number 950 out of 1993 produced watches and is currently sold out worldwide.
Where: My London-edition I purchased in the Swatch shop on Oxford Street. I see there are a few out on eBay also.
